The Best Creamed Corn

Although I live in Florida, I’m not a true southerner. But I do love comfort food, especially creamed corn, baked bbq beans, and biscuits which are my top three. It’s on of my favorite comfort foods and it’s so easy to make! I love the thick sauce, and that hint of sweetness makes it memorable.


  • 2 (10 oz) package frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese


Step 1

In a skillet over medium heat, combine corn, salt, sugar, pepper, and butter

Step 2

Whisk together the milk and flour, and stir into the corn mixture.

Step 3

Cook, stirring over medium heat until the mixture is thickened, and corn is cooked through.

Step 4

Remove from heat, and stir in cheese.
