Chocolate Pudding -Creme Au Chocolat2013-08-15

My grandfather’s mother’s recipe for chocolate pudding, which was written in french (so you know it’s got to be good). I bet this would be great as a cupcake filling too!
- 14 tablespoons of ground chocolate
- 14 tablespoons of softened butter
- 14 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 tsp of cream
- 1 cup warm milk (lukewarm)
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar (1 or 2 capfuls of vanilla extract)
- 1 egg yolk
Put the grounded chocolate, like from a chocolate bar for example, in a bowl.
Mix with sugar, egg yolk, softened butter (not melted), and make sure that it is well mixed.
Put the mixture in a saucepan on medium low, and add 1/2 cup milk, vanilla, and stir continuously until thickened.
*If you want to halve the recipe, still put in the egg yolk, and most of the milk*
Put the mixture in a mold, in the shape of a crown. (this is what the recipe says, but I would leave it as is)
